Hey! I'm jealous!.. I lived in NYC in 06/07 and it was fantastic..I was 32'ish years old.. always looking at moving back.. may do it some day. So expensive but way fun.. I spent 2,300 a month on a studio apt on Central Park South overlooking central park... that was a great deal then. If I was...
thanks everyone.. I'm just gonna go with the b1 lt.. then with the white overlay I have.. try to get as close to om3 as possible.. is a #19 so I'm not even close to as worried as I would with anything anterior. Thanks for the comments! Can't beat the interwebs... what would I have done 20 years...
Alright.. just another Saturday night in the lab.. :( .. I just noticed a case due on Monday has a BL3 shade.. I don't have that shade tab.. or guide.. I just have Vita Classic and Vita 3d. I've looked around a bit online and it looks like a b shade but bleached or just a bleached shade.. the...
thanks for the replies.. I'm going to give her a call on monday .. have her come in.. or txt me a photo or 2 and get them posted.. stupid that i didn't do that when she was at the lab yesterday! ..
A patient came by a couple of weeks ago so I could get a shade for a #8 and #9. She came by today because she wanted some changes on the size..They were nothing like I envisioned though.. they were very opaque looking. I pressed with A1 Lt(a little cutback).. her teeth are about A1 maybe...
Just wondering if anyone here has tried this stuff. I just received a sample kit by way of Zahn.. they of course said it works great. Any feedback would be great. Currently I'm using Aurivest from Aurident.. which is working ok
that's kinda what I was thinking.. the overlay I use(3g) fires and glazes lower than what I was told to fire the gc luster paste at which was like 790. Have you ever tried firing the luster paste at 720 or so? that would be the temp I'd be adding contacts or possibly fixing a margin...
I noticed a posting about this from a year ago or so with not much response.. just wondering if anyone here has used luster paste to stain their emax crowns? I've been to a gc class on the luster paste and it seems like it could work excellent.. any experiences?
I've done some FZ's full contoured zcores.. milled from generic zcore from IMC / Issaqua milling center out of Washington. Usually 2nd molars and are being done in place of FGC's. Shades are definitely tough to get right but after a few I think I've got it.. I use my glaze paste and d.sign...
I've done around 1200 generic and lava zcore crowns in the last 5 years and virtually no remakes because of failure of the core itself.. and maybe 20 at most because of chipping. I read a couple posts here about slow cooling and I'm not sure I know what that entails but I'm just following the...
I've been trying to find some info on this...
Are the bonding strengths of overlay porcelains similar? I know it probably varies a bit on the different vendors material. But in general.. not counting the strength or mpa of the core be it zcore/pfm/emax etc... in which restoration is the...
Well... finally success! I failed one more time but 3rd time was the charm. Had to raise my pressing temp to 945! Darn my furnace. Anyway now I know what a reaction layer is and I wish I had some acid. Anyway.. thanks for the input people.
Thanks for the replies..
I'm using the small lt pellets and 100g ring. Can't figure out why I didn't notice it but my burnout furnace was only at 1450.. not 1569.. that could be the culprit.. I'll raise that and also raise the pressing temperature on the pressing furnace 20degrees and also...
Well I tried and I failed... BIGTIME!
I'll give a rundown and the problems I ran into.. and hopefully I'll figure this out.
1. Waxing and investing.. no problems.. I used Aurivest from Aurident.. no cracks or anything throughout the whole process.. solid as a rock.
2. I...
If anyone here's pressing Emax with this furnace I'd really appreciate some tips.. tomorrow I'll be pressing Emax for the 1st time. Couple questions..
1. Pressing cycle paramaters.. I'm sure they are in the
manual but if someone has some tweaked ones that'd be
great.
2...
wow.. that's fantastic, I've had the 3g porcelain for years not using it and now I can! I'm gonna start pressing tomorrow.. gonna be pressing EMAX in a Pentron Autopress plus.. I have everything now except the acid for the reaction layer.. is this something I can get at harbor freight or...
wow.. thanks for all the input. Lots to think about .. although the scanner idea is looking the most feasible. Are there differences in strength or fit when comparing lava/procera/cercon/system2 etc.. or does it all come down to the scanning and design?
thanks again.
Anyone have experience in milling lava or procera zirconia copings? I know the process to a degree but am more interested in cost. Right now I'm paying $89 a coping using Issaquah milling center in Washington state. Free shipping both ways. I do around 60 a month. Bottom line is if I was saving...
It's a small world.. Mckenzie ortho? I've sent work to you.. I was working with Hayden Family in Eugene.. now your probably getting some work from Mario at Valinor in Eugene.. we both quit there a couple years ago.. weird...
