    DEKEMA Headaches

Mike, may I ask what steps were taken to determine it was the motor itself and not a fuse or a limit switch? It's very odd for the motor itself to fail. K

What are we gonna do about this virus?

Praying in CT for your wife as well Jason. To help provide some hope, a good friend of ours went to the hospital this weekend with severe symptoms (Biggest concern was oxygen level dropping). He is 47 years old and very healthy! He was released last night and is at home, Praise God. Now is the...

A couple of questions. What furnace are you firing in and are you using 110v or 220v? With any ceramic, it makes a difference.

    Whipmix sintering vs mihm vogt

We have a good number of clients who use the MV and I hear very good things about it. I don't believe that you would be "Settling" at all if you bought it. They have a pretty good track record. The heating elements are made from Molybdenum silicate vs. silicon carbide which is good because they...

Using Roland DWX52D for Bruxzir blanks

My guess is that you received the wrong size ZR discs that were meant for a Digital Dental Mill (They take 100mm discs). The industry standard in mills is 98mm discs (Its actually like 98.4mm) and lots of clients who own these mills use Bruxzir so check with your supplier.

    Y3, y4, y5 zirconia?

I would just like to add that too much translucency is a bad thing as it results in restorations being too low in value in the mouth. They look great on the model but not in the mouth. Many (Not all) 5Y ZR's tend to be a bit too low in value..It seems that "4Y" has a good balance between...

    Y3, y4, y5 zirconia?

I agree with your 2nd comment "Type II/ Class 5". Your first comment said "Type II/ Class 5y" Not trying to be "Apendage" just trying to be clear, hope it didn't come across that way!...

    Y3, y4, y5 zirconia?

Just to be clear I don't think they are saying "Class 5y" zirconia on their spec sheet. They are referring to the ADA classification of "Class 5" which means it can be for single units up to full arch bridges. It is not referencing yttria content.

    Miyo tricks/ tips

Awesome for your first whack at it Jeppsta! What did you use for the incisal area? Smoke or Storm? Cobalt is a nice color too. Try the "Dab and Drag" I mentioned above a bit more but you did great! Oh, try the Halo Spring just on the very incisal edge. Let it flow off of your brush as you go...

    Miyo tricks/ tips

I love seeing the discussion about MiYO! MiYO does stand for "Make it Your Own" BUT I will also say there are few very critical factors to insure you get the results we say you should get, so Rob I just want to elaborate on a couple of those critical things that will affect the result, more for...

I am just getting back from a trade show and saw this thread last night, so I will weigh in: I got a hold of 3 jars of InSync Orange to compare each of them wet and fired: They were manufactured in 2012, 2017 and 2019. The image of the InSync Orange that Car 54 posted above is NOWHERE in the...
