No, but you do have to pay extra to be able to import .stl files from 3Shape to mill. We have the Sirona design software but it's simply not in the same league as 3Shape.

I can tell you that the 2018 update to the 3Shape software is absolutely terrible. We actually had it removed from our computers because it was affecting so many things negatively. Bugs, lag time, importing digital cases and the overall interface were just astoundingly bad.

That is correct. To gain the ability to export a file as an .stl in Sirona it is an add-on that costs almost $1000 annually. We were lead astray by this and have NOT been happy with Sirona inlab software or their reps misleading us as to its capabilities.

The doctor sends the case to the specific lab, so unless you allow another lab access to your Cerec account, no one is gonna be able to help you. Also, you have to have the Cerec license that will allow you to change their inLab files into .stl files. I beleive it costs around $1800.

You only get 1 a year back from quality control?!?! We don't get 2 a week back from the doctors. I'm saying I might get 2 a week back from quality control that need some improvements before we send it out to an office.

I agree. The 2017 version is useless garbage that has errors and bugs at every turn. We avoid it like the plague.

Part of your problem is running on the 3Shape 2017 version. That version is RIDDLED with bugs and is basically unusable. We still utilize the 2014 version as it is the smoothest and has the easiest interface. Trust me, I've had a LOT of experience with this.
