Best way to digitally design custom impression trays?

We are getting more requests for custom impression trays for implant cases. Simply don't have the desire or time to teach someone how to do it the "old way." I would like a digital solution that we can print. 3shape splint maker? Not into buying yet another 3shape module.... Maybe some other third party software like Blue Sky?

Not interested in Blender crunching. I know it can be done that way but it is a pain.

Suggestions?

Could you please be kind to explain a little more in detail?

I am guessing you would use 'bite splint' in Exocad then attach the handle in Rhino?
