Hey Guys,

I purchased a Grobet wax injector with pump. I have not used this technique before. Is there a video ( checking YouTube next) or any techniques that could show a rookie how its done?

Thanks in advance!

Is there a recommended wax? Do I just use my sculpting wax in the pot (ie. Grey Renfert)

Thanks Gru

Some waxes separate when heated like that. I remember that IV's wax did. Can't remember if Renfert did, but it does in my little Vario E. Look to see if there's a recommendation on CMR's website. They used to do a lot of injecting if I recall.

We use Talladium's pressing wax for injecting. Works great. Always make sure your matrix seats absolutely perfect onto the cast you are injecting onto. If not, bigtime flaw.

If you're using it for pressing, make sure it's ash free.

And as Gru said, don't heat the wax beyond the flow temp. There's a fine line you're dancing there. Experiment.
