Hey,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with the VITA VMK porcelain shades coming out too gray.

The 3d shades seem to be particularly hard, but classical comes out a bit more gray still.

Any ideas? Should I opaque brighter?

Had the same problem when we started VM9. Build the crown with base dentin, cut back for incisal, add a few touchs of white and incisal 50 % and then a little clear and incisal 50 % and then incisal. Don't use the regular dentin.

Why work with a porcelain that you have to do all that custom mixing for just to hit a shade tab ? Plenty of really nice porcelains out there that you don't have to do this.

It may not be the porcelain.
