The Director, Operations & Marketing will manage, develop and grow our operations in process and customer service while also providing oversight and direction related to service and commercialization efforts by executing the marketing, business development, and operational strategy. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, multi-tasking entrepreneur, experienced in a startup environment, to lead and improve upon proven products, processes and market presence. The Director/VP reports to the CEO and will manage and develop a team.


Duties & Responsibilities


· Direct, manage and enhance essential business operations

o Oversee day-to-day operation to ensure on-time delivery to customers that meet quality objectives

o Proactively seek and document continuous improvement for internal and customer use and implement cross-training program

o Perform continuous evaluation and prioritization of case workflow to optimize and simplify processes for both customers and production team

o Manage manufacturing and customer support partners

o Oversee company financials (Quickbooks) including customer invoicing and monthly financial reports

o Update and maintain Quality Plan as manufacturing practices change

o Execute select design production oversight and approval

· Drive customer acquisition, development and sales through diverse channels and tactics as well as customer support

o Develop and execute strategy for continuing education program

o Organize educational programs/webinars with partners, KOLs, dental schools, etc

o Design, execute, and follow-up on select marketing campaigns; analyze to refine

o Work with internal team and customers to document/publish cases and other educational content through website, industry publications, and PR venues

o Secure speaking opportunities and develop content and presentations

o Coordinate internal and external communications with prospective, new and existing customers

o Follow-up with existing customers for feedback

o Update prospect and customer accounts in CRM with all relevant intelligence while maintaining effective segmentation for targeted marketing

o Collaborate with developers/ designers to update website content and related

o Create selective marketing collaterals in conjunction with team

· Support channel partners such as dental distributors, labs and implant companies

· Manage, motivate and direct team members


Qualifications


· 3-7 years of experience in Operations, Project/Product Management, or Marketing, ideally in a start-up or multi-disciplinary role; clinical, dental, or medical device experience preferred

· Interested in 3D printing and CAD/CAM applications, with dental lab experience a plus

· Comes highly recommended by those with whom they have worked

· Impeccable professional oral and written/e-mail communication skills

· High degree of urgency and a professional customer support orientation

· Enjoys customer interactions in sales, marketing, support, and training

· Highly organized, attentive to detail - customer quality/continuous process development

· Constant interest to improve processes and learn new skills; craves feedback to improve

· Experienced and comfortable in start-up, hands-on environment: flexibility is the norm

· Enthusiastic self-starter who innovates and troubleshoots without prompting or oversight

· Proficient in MS Windows and Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint

· Based in the Greater Boston area, with reasonable commute to Wellesley Hills, MA (Rt. 128/16)
