Meet Your New Board of Directors

Every year, NADL does a call for candidates for anyone interested in serving on the NADL Board of Directors. The members of the board are stewards of the organization and are responsible for its fiscal health as well as reflecting the views and interests of all constituents. The boards guide the organization through proven leadership, a shared vision and support for the missions of the association. Candidates for the NADL Board of Directors must be from a member laboratory in good standing and be a designated representative of a Certified Dental Laboratory, DAMAS laboratory or ISO certified laboratory.

Effective on January 1, 2015, NADL welcomed our new board members:

Harold A. Burdette, Jr., CDT - Burdette Dental Lab, Inc., CDL
2015 NADL President

Harold A. Burdette, Jr., CDT, is the CEO of Burdette Dental Lab, Inc., a Certified Dental Laboratory (CDL) in Birmingham, AL. He has served as Fiscal Officer of the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC) and he has served on several of NADL’s Committees including the Audit Committee, the Communications Advisory Board, the Budget & Finance Committee, and the Business Management Committee. Most recently, he has held the position of Treasurer and served as President-Elect in 2014 on the NADL Board of Directors. Mr. Burdette is a current board member with the CAL-LAB Group and an Advisor with the Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories. He holds a CDT specialty in every discipline except the Orthodontics and the Implants specialties.



Barbara Warner Wojdan, CDT, AAACD - Knight Dental Laboratory, CDL, DAMAS, ISO

Barb is a highly accomplished dental laboratory technician and is nationally recognized as a leader in functional-esthetic dentistry. With over 25 years’ experience in multiple disciplines of comprehensive dentistry, she has achieved recognition as an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally she is an active member of the National Association of Dental Laboratories, where she served as chairperson of the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology. Barbara was the only technician recognized among the 2011 recipients of Dental Products Report “Top 25 Women of Dentistry.”

Travis Zick - D & S Dental Laboratory, Inc., CDL

Travis is the President of D&S Dental Laboratory, Inc., and D&S Group, Inc. based in Waunakee, WI. D&S is a full-service, Certified Dental Laboratory with three locations in Wisconsin. D&S Group has two additional labs in Wisconsin & Illinois. Altogether, D&S has over 100 employees amongst the five laboratories. Travis has served on the NADL Finance Committee for the past two years, including serving as Co-Chair in 2014.







Mark T. Murphy, DDS, FAGD - MicroDental Laboratories, CDL, DAMAS

Mark is the Principal of FunktionalTracker, a cloud base behavioral tracking software for dental teams and is Lead Faculty for Clinical Education at Microdental. Mark began his career as a technician, then became a restorative dentist and has remained an important and influential friend of the laboratory profession. He has served on the boards for the Pankey Institute, The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology, the IdentAlloy Council and is the former President of the National Lab Network. Mark has also been the VP of Business Development at Microdental-DTI and, oversaw Sales and Mergers and Acquisitions for them. Mark has lectured on Lab Operations, Lab Management, Philosophy, Sales, Marketing, Communication and Competitive Issues facing Labs Today. He is an informative and entertaining speaker, author, panel moderator and frequent presenter at laboratory meetings. He is a frequent visiting lecturer at Pankey Institute and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy.
