Hello Mark, Just wondering if you have any tips on becoming a CDT? I have seen in your posts you have made a lot of informative comments on the CDT test. I called NBC and they told me to just study the air force manuals that they currently have for sale. I have the 1992 manuals. Are there any question & answer books I can study? Thank you, KCB
Mark, I posted this yesterday but got no reply posts: "Just received an email stating that Straumann will be adding the following products: Vita Mark II, Triluxe, Empress, 3M Lava. I don't really understand what the big deal is about the new Vita offerings since the Emax materials are much stronger. Do they mill better than the Emax materials? I haven't been impressed with the milled emax materials. The "press" still rules in the fit category." Since you are in to the milling aspect of this, what is your experience with the milled Vita products? Also, what full contour zirconia do you recommend?
I have to respectfully disagree. I don't think there are many industries where a guy with a high school education like me could make the kind of money I've been blessed to make, and my employees do very, very well, some of whom clear 80-100k. One of them a denture technician with implant experience. I might guess the Denture tech isn't on the high side, I have college in Dental lab, I've done from Vulconite to implants & some maxio facial, If I could sell my money pit I would be out checking out your place in a heart beat if thats the pay for only 40 hrs. My last vacation was 4 days in 2008, tell your techs it sounds like heven. The "large" labs in the area pay from $10-15 for Denture techs, no benefits, DAL has laid off Denture techs and they have come out telling me they were on part time 35hrs at $12. but at part time they cannot get unemployment in IL, Eric is fairly skilled, basics, TMJ, some implant he found a spot after a year (he was doing piece work with me) 2hr away for $14. but with insurance which is what he really needed for his family. Glidewell outsources, and Jim had great timing and money to work with.
Thanks. I spent 18 hours in that airport one year. I'm skipping Chicago this year. I'm lecturing in DC next week, then Denver, Seattle and Indianapolis. Back to back to back. Something had to give...
If UR coming to Chicago LMT be warned we are under a winter weather advisory, probably get 4-6" of snow.
