John, the periodontist that I fabricated the custom abutment and master die for had some questions for me about how the restorative doctor would take the impression over the custom abutment. The restorative doctor would just need to pack cord around the abutment so the margin is clear and then take a standard C and B impression. This should allow the lab to pour up a soft tissue model. I am also going to give him the silicon mold of the abutment so that the lab they send the case to will be able to pour up a new die if they damage the master die. Does all of this sound right to you? Thanks again for all your advice and insight...I really value it and it has helped me be a better technicain.

I just wanted to personally thank you for sharing your business model on providing custom abutments, temp crowns, and master dies to periodontists. I got my first customer today.
