we just fabricated a metal framework (2 splints)

20 and 21 splinted and 28 and 29 splinted

20 and 29 have Distal Occusal rests seat

21and 28 have Mesial Occusal rest seat

both slints also have lingaul, mesial and distal giude planes to accomidate a partial to be made

Frames are going to Dr. for a metal tryin- how would you fee this case?

4 surveyed crowns; some folks charge by the surface, ie. rests, lingual guide plane distal guide plane etc. Plus your alloy charge and crown fee.

Your frame lab probably charges by components; rests clasps etc. Check with them to get an idea, you're in the ballpark though. Think of it this way, when a doc does a filling its based on the surfaces MO, DO MOD ,,,,etc.

It depends on if your doing a true survey crown where you are using a milling machine or at the very least a surveyor. If we do a design for a combo case we charge out as follows

$155 + alloy X 4 for base survey crown
Milled Surface at $60 a surface depending on what we are doing

Inter-conects and simple rest seats as well as guide-planes all are a surface.

Doing an all inclusive fee for a survey crown is cutting your own throat. When your client sees the vast differences in multiple designs he may understand others will just think you are nickel and dimeing them. A true milled survey crown is much more labor intensive than a hand waxed "Eye balled" unit and you must be compensated for it.
