You guys need to go one year. It's a GREAT program. Very up close and personal with much more time than the rushed Chicago freezing winter meeting. Who the heck wants to go to Chicago in the Winter anyway?? sccrew that action. California is 2x better.

Well, I'll try my best to come back with the latest underground Dental news.

My employee Marc and myself are going to fix a Rapid-prototype machine owned by Michael Westmore...the make-up artist for Star Trek. His son, also named Michael and around my age, is playing with a few fun toys that I want to go check out at their special effects studio. They are 30 minutes from the CAD/CAM show. I a nerd at heart and can't wait!

Michael George Westmore (born March 22, 1938) is an American make-up artist best known for his work in various Star Trek productions, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and four feature films.

My G** this is too funny, died laughing. John I did'nt know you had it in you. This cracked me up still laughing ( I type turtle pace) so you can imagine. I did'nt know you can call people names on here. "Midget"? I'm still laughing. Good to see you have a not so serious persona,,,,maybe it's the pic with the tie. BTW good luck on getting that beer from a midget....they're some honrey bastards.

SHow was great and packed. Peter Pizzi had a funny as ****

prezentation for us on Fri. A Movie that started off nerdy as heck,

then blew us away with humor including throwing out the "F" word

and **** a few times in a cartoon making the daily life of Dentistry

seem tough, and really slammed the patient. I mean, telling the patient

to get the fok out of office you stupid piece of chit. I laughed so hard and

stood up to start the standing ovation! Nice Mr Pizzi!!! You made my morning!

Standing room only for Fri, and we had to break the fire code in a seriuos way.

to fit the people who paid into the room. Speakers had highly technical content this year. Really getting into

industrial CAD/CAM. I loved it. I left early to go play with a 3D

printer. Old POS that we almost got running.

Just a matter of time, I had to go home.

I spent two days with the Westmore family. (It was Micheal Jr.'s printer.
He likes himself some high-tech toys!)
They took me out to eat a few times. My employee Marc,
and I got to see Mr. Westmore's house! He has Oscars, emmys,
Movie stuff everywhere! Marc is suppose to upload some pics soon?
That family made the dentures for the Klingons, and all that stuff. We talked
Dental, they had stories and stories about any actor/movie from the past three decades. This family did CIA/ govn't make-up for spys, President-clones, TV, Movies. Daughter is an actress. Look for the whole family to be in new TV show in Jan. Michael Jr. showed us the actual laser he made for
Picard, when he turned into a Borg "Locutis".
The Westmores even have their own Hollywood Star! They invited us to come back one day soon and eat at some Hot-Dog stand called "Pinks" near their Hollywood star. The wait could be up to two hours they said! They want to come to Richmond and hook-up to see
some Civil-War stuff. The Dad loves the Old Dominion history and has civil war books on every surface left uncovered in his house.

Anyway....I could go on and on....

Some of their work.I believe they were the very first to put a real laser into a movie or TV. They beat Arnold Swartz in Predator with that alien that had laser sight on shoulder4 for gun. Old School stuff by todays standards.



Mr. Westmore could crank out ten dentures a day for actors.

DLOAC meeting grounds at the former Ritz Carlton in Pasadena.
Hotel was off-the-hook sick! Pampered in every way!
Love the scenery and exotic cars and ladies of course.
