Where do you get the crappy plastic faux implant parts for those clear models that exhibit the type of case you are making?

I think you were asking about the fixture replicas, you are right the majority of those are not real implants but I have no idea where to get those. This place has some good quality stuff, they might be able to guide you.

Why not waxup a 'denture' with solid base, buy a few implants off ebay for cheap and process in clear acrylic?

Most implant companies sell dummy implants for training purposes. Just ask.

Some have some implants that didn't pass qc that they'll give away.

Just ask your favorite surgeon. They'll give you some implants that did not integrate.
And my suggestion is make your own models. Because it's your work and not somebody else's.

I would buy the models. They use different resins that look great for a long time. However I would make the prosthetics for the models. That's what you're selling.
