Default The Radica® Provisional & Diagnostic Resin System ??

Is or has anybody used this system? I have been doing alot of diagnostic work and would like to expand my services to offer completed provisionals. I cant find alot of info in this stuff or how it works. Any info would be great. Thanks

Radica is good system, I've used it, didn't like the bubbles, I use 3M's Synphony's system. For some reason I just like it better, they're both very similar to each other.

I've used sinfony before and liked it very much also. I am not sure if i want to go with a composite/resin type material or if i want to go with a self curing acrylic. I dont know how many provisionals i will be doing and am kind of hesitant to jump into a whole system right now. Know of any good acrylic temp materials out there. Been using just good ol' jet right now.

Jet acrylic is all i used before I got my hands on the synphony system from 3M Espe.... I did notice that the Radica is little cheaper than the 3M system. Really depends how many temps you're doing.

Default I've got Radica

I have the system and I love it! The material needs to be heated to be workable. It comes in the majority of shades (Vita). I also got the staining and tinting system, which I have only had to use on some tough shades. You need to make a putty transfer. The die lube is like thin vaseline and works great. If you get any bubbles you simply remove them using a clean waxing tip (electric works best). The material is fairly firm when cool, so the margins can be trimmed with a knife, interproximals can be cleaned and refined, and the occlusion can be refined with a counter-die with slight pressing. The best part is the varnish applied right before curing. It puts a shine on the acrylic that is as good as any I've been able to achieve. It does not seem to create an air inhibited layer so it stays smooth. You then cure on or off the die.
I am frugal, so I cure with a curing light. My Triad light is on the fritz 'til I can fix it. I also think I could use an oven (toaster style) to heat the resin instead of the warming unit.
I could say more if anyone had questions.
