Need help on investments for PFMs. Need one that is stable / fit. We use ringless, fastfire investment, and up to 4 wax patterns per ring (90gram rings). Please inform me How many wax patterns you use in a 90gram ring , fast burn out or slow? And what is a good noble metal and investment?
Thanx for your help. |

I have been using Microstar HS for three years now. I don't use the fast burnout but I am sure it would be just as accurate. I use it ringless and the fits are always the same. I try to keep my rings with 5 or less patterns per ring. I finally after many years of miscasts and .6+ metal thickness I now get .3-.5 mm thickness and never get miscasts (I learned the metal has to be hotter than what I was making it. Just because it slumps doesn't mean it ready to cast.) So its a great investment and I am sure alot of people would tell you the same thing. I hope this helps you.
