Default Picture in a ret.

When I place a picture I first apply a thin coat of pearl whit sparkle, can be just plain white. Then a thin amount of clear, then the picture. Keep it thin, but use enough white for a good background.
Then apply clear to the thickness you need to finish, then apply the main color or pattern last. You can see in the finished ret post a rainbow ret with a picture.

OK good, I was asked to add Decals to the Retainerdesigner.com site, but I was having trouble with the decals picking up the white of the model in the picture. So this is good, because you use white ( or opal sparkle) behind it anyway. I can go ahead and add the decals now. Just with your instructions to the labs on how to construct it. Awesome.

Mix a little opal sparkle in with some white, that makes the Pearl White sparkle that JBC sells. Makes a nice background. Makes the pics show up better, especially those faint ones placed in just clear.

Default Well I'll be!!

I have been adding the pictures after I add the color for the ret. carving out a whole and filling w/clear. I will try your way next time Labdude. I like the idea of a little white in the background to make the pict. pop.

Love the morsels of knowledge I gain from this forum!

Thank you
