Hello
Here's a new design of my extruding labial bow, as I promised ![]() As you can see I used Crozat appliance this time, simply because it was more fun that way, and it can be used both as removable or fixed appliance. This design can be used with acrylic plate too. The sliding bow is powered by NiTi spring and the pressure is adjusted with IPC's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There you go! Two more days until the second part of my vacation ![]() Must find a imaginative way to use 3 weeks of spare time, I might go rafting or something like that... ![]() Bye!!! Hi Teofil,
The crozat design is nice. I stated that I didn't make more than maybe 100 or so complete crozats, thats true. However, the use of the crozat clasp in any appliance that requires a lot of retention, or is difficult to retain, is the place I use the clasp regularly. Mike.

I wish I was so lucky to have Teofil as my R&D Department!
Teofil: I am going to send you a couple dozen IPCs at no cost, I would be a fool not to as you keep coming up with great designs. Did you see the Inman Aligner Space Maintainers designed powered by the IPCs? Please email me your address. Don |

Thanks everyone
![]() @Don : I have seen Inman Aligner with IPC's but I think it's overkill. The mechanical design is great but not many patients would except having fixed aligners instead of fixed braces. Thanks for sending more IPC's for me to play with. The IPC's are not sold here so there is virtually no marketing for them , I've spent almost all of them making demo appliances so I could show the doctors where it could be implemented. The ones school bought for me are waiting for school year to start. Thanx |

Agree with the IPC overkill...
Your design above might benefit from occlusal rests on the 1st bicuspids. This was suggested by one of my top people who also has become a fan of yours. It would keep the appliance from intruding the anchorage teeth. By the way we now have the M-Clasps is both sizes and I will send you a bunch of both along with the IPCs. Please evaluate them and feel free to post your feelings even if they are not positive. I love the bicuspid M-Clasp and like the molar version but currently all my energies are focused on laser welding. I have no problem admitting I have OCD and I am really getting into the laser.... I am 50 and so excited about what I am doing and all the new ideas that the laser open ups that I feel like a kid on the l first day of summer. I suggest that if you have a smaller lab and a laser is not affordable, get to be friends with the full service labs in your area and rent time on their laser...it is going to set you apart. Whoops...there I go again...I can hear Trump say "your fired" Enjoy your vacation Teofil, Don |
