Default Drying models

We used a toaster oven for quick jobs. Lined the rack with foil and put holes through it. Never set above 225 or so, and keep the dorr proped open about
1" using a small shaped piece of wire.
For the larger job, we used a clothes dryer. Removed the band that made it spin and used a couple of screws to anchor it in place. Then we made a couple of racks for it. This contraption would dry about 24 or so sets of models at once. We disabled the timer, thing would just run till you shut it off. It would dry models in about 4 hours, low temp, it could go all night.

How long??? It's been to long!! I don't remember!! Maybe 1 1/2 hrs.???
How long does a microwave take??? The little ovens could break down the hardness of the plaster if set to hot for to long. Does a micrwave have this issue??
May I never make these things again, (study models) ,made my last one about 14 years ago.

Set the microwave on 3 power setting
run for 3 min
crack the door when done and let set for 1 min
( pat off excess water that "steams" to the surface of the model)
Run for another 3 minutes
crack door for 1 minute
Run another 3 minutes if needed
Power level should be set on 3 or less each time.
Make sure you know your microwave. It may need to be set on level 2 instead of 3

Sounds nice and fast. Good info for those who make these goodies.
