Cer-Ack, with the ortho requirement. Will it mill an ortho bracket on the crown so it can be moved into the proper position at a later time (since the 3.6 software knows more than you about where you should position the crown)?

Aren't these things supposed to be MORE helpful?

Whats the impression look like, are there artifacts in the scans, these are the most common complaints I have seen, the virtual models dont show the artifacts but the grey scale models do. Just check it and if you cant get it send me the RST file and I will take a look at it.

I know... I have heard the horror stories out there as well, but this HAS to be a problem that can be fixed or improved upon. I would call the Patterson Technical Center (800-659-1505) in Charlotte to try and get some support with this or call your Sirona rep and see if they can help. Going at this on your own is going to drive you crazy, so it's worth a try I would think. It may be something simple as re-installing software or re-calibrating your inEOS or Cerec itself.

Default same problem

I used to have the same problem. It actually used to be so bad that every crown was a couple mm off. A couple crowns were actually rendered over the neighbouring tooth, in a long, bent, grotesque shape. v3.65 seems to have fixed this, and now I don't have this problem.

However, I have a major problem with margins chipping. Not just regular chipping due to worn burrs. Seems like half of my zirconia frames are being milled with severely chipped margins (1-2mm chunks chipped off). I'm using 150ml dentatec. I could mill two frames together, and one will be fine while the other's garbage.

Anyone else have this problem? any ideas on how to fix it?

Patterson would know more than I, but you might consider replacing your block chuck, if you haven't done so already.

do you use 75ml or 150ml of dentatec for your zirconia?

My "source" uses 100ml on everything. When I worked
at IV they told us you didn't even need the it. Everyone
has an opinion.
