They are needing to purchase a new hand piece and was woundering if any one out there can info us of a good one on the market.
Hope to hear from you soon..

Hi Baker,
If your talking electric handpiece,
I personaly love my NSK Z-500. When I first bought equipment for my ortho lab I was going to go with an Osada handpiece, because I love the thumb chuck release lever, makes bur changes quick!. But when I went to buy it from Harris discount dental supply, the salesman suggested the NSK 500, because you can remove the chuck to clean it inhouse, he said that with the osada you have to send it back to the manufature every so often to get it cleaned and referbished.
Havent missed the Osada, my NSK 500 is still running strong 4 years later.
Hope that helps

Cade

Baker,
I'll agree with Cade 100%. That hand piece is really nice!! BUT....Darby dental (now owned by Zahn) has a knock off of that same handpiece for a lower price. Other then the name, their is no difference in performance. I have 3 of them and wouldn't consider anything else for the money. As a matter of fact the rubber cradle that holds the handpiece is stamped NSK.

Oh yeah I forgot about those, i bet they are 100% the same. I would have bought a knock off if I would have known about them at the time.

I believe Patterson Dental also sells a knock off of the NSK Z-500. Its white, is the only diffrence I see.

Good point, JEmirzian

Default Wow! thanx

Thank you both for responding. This is a great way to get help from others that have been in the business and have experience so I don't have to feel like I am going solo.
Thank you again.

Great Lakes Kool Torque. More you use it, cooler it gets, to a point.
Had one last 20 years without service except by me. New one is pushing 18 years with the same result.
They are air driven.
