There is a quite a bit of info here concerning ortho. Your behind the "orange curtain" I see.
I moved away from L.A. in 1992 and haven't been back. Your in an excellent place to start a lab. Large base of drs. to choose from. If you haven't been to a PCSO, try one out. It is the #1 best way to aquire new busniess if you need more. They have 1 day meetings in L.A. where you can exhibit. Search the forums for PSCO info, or google it. Travis put up those silly games here, major distraction for some. I see your Alien Invasion Champ. Big deal. Rob has a few champ titles himself, I don't get it. Anyway, search the forums for ortho info or call if you feel like it 888-996-0522. Or just ask what ever you want here, we will all help out. Me, I'm pushy and don't think anyone works up to their true potential. Especially Cade (retainer designer, he calls himself). But, that's just me. Your in a fast moving place, and can do really well if you choose. Mike.

Hi Charly~
I have an ortho lab that I have been running single handedly (by choice) for 8 years now. I really enjoy what I do and the freedom and versatility it provides. It is a nice living that I would be unable to match if working for an employer. Please feel free to pick my brain if there is any question that you might have about ortho stuff, I would be glad to chat with you. I am by no means an expert, that would be Labdude ( he is a wealth of info and very happy to share with others), but I do have a few years under my belt. Have you started up your lab yet? Or are you out knocking on doors for business?? trisha |

Welcome, Welcome!
I think the ortho community here is the best thing going for DLN! Don't tell Travis! (he's the Crown & Bridge guy that started this site)! Its nice to have another addition to the ortho family here. As far as living up to your potential (yes, I saw that Labdude!) Labdude has set the bar pretty high! I have to admit his tips and wealth of knowldege has started streamlining my ortho lab so much that I am ready to take on a new doctor ( if I can find one!) I too am a graduate of a DLT program here in Texas! So its nice to see someone from my same background here. Hope we can help! Cade |

Cade,
Your very kind. As are all of you here. Cade, are you set up for mail order stuff yet?? Got a BRM?? Got FedEx or UPS??? If I find a dr looking for a lab, hope your ready. Motorcycles, fun and low cost. Just remember your youngster and wife dude. Travis just has Amy and no kids. She could find someobe real quick if Travis should meet the rear end, or front end of something. Hi Travis!!! I know you enjoy this kind of talk, I still have special pictures for you any time your ready!!! Mike.

Sorry Charlyhstl for hijacking your thread. Usually there are moderators to prevent this kind of thing
![]() I had BRM but it took waaay toooo looong to get my packages. it would take like a week to get a package from a town an hour away! A whole week! longer if there is holiday at the post office. I think the bottle neck was at the post office here, it would take them 2-3 days just to process and deliver to my lab. I quit them! I finally signed up for UPS daily pickup. I even got one of those professional thermal UPS printers, pretty cool. Keeps me on my toes and on schedule when I know a driver is coming by for a package today. I can print up return shipment labels from the printer too and include them in the box. Shipment is next day for me using UPS ground. Lots faster than snail mail BRM! Charlyhstl, do you ship any, or are all your doctors in your town? Trisha has a pretty cool delivery system every Tues and Thurs. The motorcycle thing will prob. never work out, the Dave Ramsey voice in my head wouldn't let me do it without tons of life insurance. im curious about the pictures... |
