My name is Rob Teachout, I hail from where you can watch your dog runaway for two days.....Kansas. I'm a CDT (CB,PC), LVI Master Tech, Grad. of Naval School of Dental Asst. and Tech., and have Bachelors in chem/bio. Took the DAT (19) 4 more years of school made me yawn. I love pressables, some of the Cad/Cam, Captek is still the best PFM out there. I came here from Dental Town but also have created another website (Patriotic Thunder "The Message Has Arrived") for all those American Badasses out there....lol Hope to see what all the wondeful Lab Techs in the world are doing and hopefully learn some new tricks to the trade.

#4 ranked Missouri University played #2 ranked Kansas for the Big 12 North championship........Mizzou won, now you know.....lol

There is a forum for continuing education. So far, I am all I see there.
And I worked so hard for that. Dangerous mission it was. Had to get on a plane, fly over thousands of miles of open ocean. Not spill my drink.
Crawl down to the beach, paddle out, go back to shore, get a surfboard, paddle back out. Repeat.
Nice to see someone here who can post about 100 times a day. Travis was happy when the site hit 500. Less than a month ago.
Sports, sorry, clueless.
Sitting outside late at night in the cold, now that is fun!

Labdude...... are you an amateur astronomer? those are the only ones I know that will subject themselves to cold late nights and call it fun.

Looks like you and I came from the same background.
Got my Bachelors in Pre-dental (biology)
Scored a 17 on the DAT

but I am proud that I scored a 20 on the Organic chemistry section (especially after having to take Organic Chem II twice!)
Scored an 11 on the math section LOL

Ran out of time didn't finish it.
Went to Lab school (Univ. of Texas health Science Center)while applying again. Decided the lab business is for me. Four more years of school and 200,000 in tuition scared me.
Got my CDT (OR,TS)

Glad to have you on this board!

I hear ya, don't worry though, I had to take P-Chem twice as well, and the Calculus 1,2,3,and 4 were just that. The number reflects how many times you had to take it to pass that beast. Glad you decided to stay in the dental field though.

Yes, I am currently working, way to much lately, to many people want their "two front teeth" for Christmas. I know, it's an old cliche' but it still holds true. Good work on the website Travis, as I've posted before, I'm glad Techs are talking and sharing their tips along the way....keep up the hard work. Running a website can be demanding at times.
