Question PFM Help -Design, Fabrication etc.

Hi all, Im new to crown work. I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on the fabrication of a PFM. What do you do to make one and why do u do it? What design principles must be considered?

Cheers
Craig

Hi Crag11
I think books will help you at this stage. I used my three basic books, The Air force dental lab text books. You may read my answer to Baker on mics section to get some ideas. I learned more after Chicago lab day and appreciated more to all generous supports from Doctors and Technicians while I was there. Another very important key to fabricate good PFM crown is the impression. Doctor prep and impression dictate most of technician model works. I would check for room and undercut after articulate them. Communicate with your doctor if you see any problems. I hope it helps and some other technicians will give you their input on this question.
