Default Deflasking Success injection flasks

I just bought Dentsply's Success injection system and am having a terrible time getting the gypusm out of the flasks after curing. The Dentsply people say to simply blast some air into that little hole on the bottom of the flask. Doesn't work! The tech rep who came to the lab couldn't even get it to work. We have 80 psi coming out of the line. Do we need more air pressure?

I'm thinking of coating the inside of the flasks with PAM or a silicone spray. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

fold a small piece of paper towel twice inito a small square and place it over the hole on the inside of the flask and be sure to coat the flask with vasaline I also use the vasaline to sort of glue the paper towel into place and then just invest as normal with the paper towel in there and you wont ever have this problem again.

Thanks for the tip, hydent. Today I shot a flex partial and sprayed the heck out of the insides with PAM before flasking. Oops. Used too much as it actually popped open during boil-out. Ha.

I used to have the same issue with the newer generations of microwave flasks. Sometimes you just have to vaseline the crap out of them. The paper towel trick sounds like a keeper, and I'll file that away in case I ever get a Success unit.

One thing I appreciate over here (as opposed to dental Frown) is that being helpful is the rule.

I use this system and went crazy the first few times I used it. I now use a papertowel cut to fit the bottom, vaseline the flask and I have a metal plate I put in the bottom. The blast of air just pops it out now. I also have a plate with holes I put over the top of the denture that aids in devesting the stone. I'm sure the tech told you but use only stone not plaster to invest.

I usually vasoline the entire flask and then I place a small paper towel over the hole after I have wet the paper towel. This moisture will keep it in place while investing. Just blast air in the hole after curing and it will pop right out. I have never had a problem devesting unless I forget to put the paper towel on the hole. This will work for sure.

Well lets be sure to not get it confused with the packing that your used to Tim, you know it starts with fudge. Did I just say that, I didn't just say that, I did say that, ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

I do have to say that Ivocap is a great system however it does lack versatility.
