Default Time...

I did get the 21st and 22nd off. That was it. Unusually busy.
I'll get the things out to those I promised things.
Major problem. Linda and I have horses. We just had to put down our 8 year old mare, Slipper.
Sudden Colic problem. 4 vets were involved. She became ill on 11/24. Became toxic very quickly and was not a candidate for surgery. She passed away on 11/28 at 8:am.
I gotta go, I'll be back.

I am very sorry for your loss. We too have horses and I can only imagine the pain of losing one. Did Linda do the majority of the care taking for Slipper?

Take care of yourselves,
trisha

Hi Mike,
I'm so sorry about your horse. I just had to put down a 32 year old Morgan that was a really big part of my childhood. Although he lived a long happy life, it was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. I know how you feel......

Take care,
Jay

Hi Trisha and Jay,
I must get back, I can't spend forever dragging my butt around. So...here I am.
Trisha, Linda does most of the manure moving etc. I work to many hours to be of more use than spoiling the horses. I have recently just set up a nice round pen with sand for working them however. No, Slipper did not have a sand colic. No horse has access to the pen, it is only for work outs.

Jay,
Sorry to hear of your loss. Hard to put down a pet. We to had to put down a Stallion last Feb. 2006. Old age for him. Then this year in March, we put down a mare, old age as well.
This stallion, Doc Toddy, and mare, Merry Little Breeze, we're Slipper's mom and dad.
Slipper produced a foal. He is 3 and a gelding. Flames Lectra Fire is his name.
We have him at home and boy does he get a lot of attention now!!
Thanks guys and go give your pets an extra pat for us please!!
We are going to bring home another horse soon. Lexy and Slipper were to be our 2 horses to grow old with. One for Linda, one for me. We also have 2 mini horses. Full sisters. They are a year apart in age. Star and Breezy. Star is broke to cart. Breezy is just now old enough to start. Soon we will be enjoying them both together. We have to carts and are ready to go. Just won't be for a while as Breezy needs to learn. And also we will have a new horse to get familiar with.
Always look forward, always look up.
Mike.
